good experience but my thing is that the gluten free taiyaki is mid, but saved me the tummy ache. my friend brought me along and look what they did to my ice cream :(

Cute little cafe with fun decor and seasonal themed menu items. Got the 'Taste of Fall' and was not disappointed. Cute presentation and was delicious to boot. Love the ability to customize your ice creams. Definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I shared: - Blueberry Taiyaki - Sausage and Cheddar Taiyaki - Pepperoni and Mozzarella Taiyaki - Ube Filled Taiyaki topped with Mochi and Caramel Syrup over Vanilla Ice Cream - Spam Musubi with Egg - Mitarashi Dango I love Taiyaki and it's always a treat to find a place that has savory options. Those were my favorite here, but the sweet was good too. I've never had Dango before and absolutely loved it. I don't think you can go wrong here. Everything was delicious!

We stopped at Hanamaru right before our 8 hr road trip back home. The lattes, matcha strawberry and strawberry, were delicious. Despite a slight wait, which wasn’t a big deal since I had ordered a meal instead of a taiyaki, they apologized for the inconvenience and gave us a sample of their Nutella taiyaki. If you love these little fish shaped stuffed waffles, you absolutely should try Hanamaru! Happy with our last minute pit stop!

This was our second trip to this place, it is great! The first time we went the ice cream machines were broken so we decided to wait until our second visit to give it a fair try. This time we tried 6 different taiyaki and all of them were very good. The taiyaki are crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The savory taiyaki had just the right amount of filling, thin and enough to taste but not enough to lose the flavor of the batter. The sweet ones are very good, we had one with Nutella and a second one with vanilla ice cream with cookie crumbs - delicious! We also tried the curry chicken bowl (very good) and the Takayaki. All of the food was tasty and the price seems good for what you get. If you plan to visit, make sure you have time to wait for your food. Everything is made from scratch when you order and, just like their signs say, it takes 15-30 minutes to get your food. All in all it was a nice place and the food was very good. I would recommend checking it out, and if you have kids, they will love the ice cream with a fish :)

This place has been on my "need to visit" list for a while now, so when my nieces came to town for a sleep over with my daughter and asked to try something they've never had before, this was the first thing i thought of. We absolutely loved this place. Been here 2 times in 2 weeks and each time has been great. The taiyaki filling was a little inconsistent, though. First time I went the filling was subtle, but the second time it was super filled. Absolutely delicious either way. We have tried the vanilla ice cream in a cone, oreo taiyaki, custard taiyaki, cream cheese taiyaki, butterfly lemonade and the pudding boba drink. Everything is made to order, and the filled taiyakis come out nice, hot and crispy. The ice cream with cone comes with in 3 different varieties with 2 toppings, and there's a great selection to choose from. You can also upgrade your cone to chocolate for extra. My son is constantly asking for a "fish ice cream" lol 10/10 would recommend this place and we can't wait to go back!!

This place is my new favorite go-to for soft serve. Their unbelievably affordable Taiyakis are perfectly crispy and sweet like a waffle with a unique flavor and soft inside. If you get ice cream you have to get a cone or upside down as these taiyakis make it that much better. The soft serve (I got UBE) was sweet, creamy and yet not too heavy. The portions are great. Surprisingly, though, their food options are good too. We loved the bulgogi and chicken curry (the potatoes and sauce are DELICIOUS!) as well as the takoyaki (octopus balls). I tried the savory pepperoni mozzarella taiyaki and while it wasn't as cheesy as Elder Eats made it look, it was still yummy. My mom got an ube taiyaki and loved it so much she ordered another to go. My sister got the limited time chocoholic ice cream and it looked too good to be true. Rich, decadent chocolate ice cream, syrup, cookies and a chocolate taiyaki. Ultimately we will be going again! Ambience only 3 stars because it's uncomfortably cold and dark. Other than that nice and clean. Price wise- it adds up quickly. If you're planning on getting a drink (boba tea, matcha latte, lemonade), a lunch or snack item , and then ice cream, expect to spend 20 dollars a person. If you stick with just one thing it'd be under 10 dollars.

We not come for the boba or the food.... we came for the delicious Taiyaki!! The customer service is great and the prices are decent. They soft serve cookies and cream was soo smooth and silky and the crispy warm fish waffle was so good. The matcha ice cream was really good too. I would definitely come here if you are looking for some yummy Japanese streetfood with ice cream!!
